The Floodlight2 is PHLster's universal light-bearing IWB holster for duty-sized pistols equipped with a Surefire X300 or Streamlight TLR-1 weapon-mounted light. Instead of indexing on the gun, the Floodlight2 indexes on the light — so one holster fits a wide range of pistols, as long as you have the right light attached. Two-way adjustment gives you solid retention and a precise fit that most "universal" holsters can't match.

Light-Based Retention: The Floodlight2 grips the body of the weapon-mounted light, not the gun. Adjustable slide contact lets you fine-tune how the holster engages the pistol slide, while dedicated retention screws let you dial clamping pressure on the light body. The result is consistent, tunable retention across every compatible pistol — just swap the light from one gun to the next and the holster works.

ComfortScape™ Technology: Patent-pending ComfortScape ribs round out the holster surface into a smooth, organic shape against your body. Fewer pressure points, better concealment, and moisture management are built right in. The ribs create airflow channels that keep sweat from pooling against your skin — and since they're molded into the shell, they don't absorb moisture. The Floodlight2 is built for all-day wear.

DCC Clips and ModWing: Every Floodlight2 comes standard with a pair of DCC Mod4 1.5" steel clips — the toughest, thinnest, lowest-profile spring steel IWB clips available. The included ModWing concealment claw presses against the inside of your belt or waistband to lever the grip into your body. Adjust the amount of grip rotation by swapping between the included short and tall inserts. No upgrade charge, no leftover parts.

Fully Ambidextrous: Swap the hardware to the opposite side for left-hand carry. Right-handed and left-handed shooters get the same holster, the same features, and the same performance. Hard-to-find left-handed light-bearing holsters are a thing of the past.

Open-Ended Design: The muzzle end of the Floodlight2 is open, so it accommodates compensators, threaded barrels, suppressor-height sights, and slide-mounted red dot optics without modification.

Carry Positions: The Floodlight2 can be worn AIWB (Appendix Inside the Waistband) or strong-side IWB, depending on your hardware positioning and cant preference. It requires a 1.5" belt for proper function with the included DCC clips.

What's Included: Floodlight2 holster shell, DCC Mod4 1.5" steel clips (installed), ModWing concealment claw, and all hardware. Ready to carry on a belt.

Available Colors: Charcoal, Tundra, Sage, Earth. Lighter colors provide better contrast when visually guiding the pistol into the holster — especially useful on training days.

Enigma Compatible: The Floodlight2 is directly compatible with the Light Bearing Enigma OS for beltless carry.

For improved comfort and concealment, add the Wedge Rx.

[TAB:Compatibility]

Important: The Floodlight2 indexes on the weapon-mounted light, not the gun. You must select the correct light fit when ordering — the X300 version and TLR-1 version are NOT interchangeable. Your pistol must have one of the supported lights listed below attached to it.

  • Surefire X300U-A
  • Surefire X300U-B
  • Surefire X300U-T (X300T)

Supported Weapon Lights — TLR-1 Version

  • Streamlight TLR-1
  • Streamlight TLR-1S

[/TAB] [TAB:Adjustment]

Two-Way Fit Adjustment

The Floodlight2 is a two-piece design with adjustable slide contact. This means you can adjust both the retention on the weapon light body and the clamping pressure against the pistol slide. This two-way adjustment is what separates the Floodlight2 from other universal holsters — it allows the holster to properly contact the pistol slide for a solid, secure fit regardless of which compatible gun you're carrying.

Retention Adjustment

Use the dedicated retention screws to increase or decrease the friction retention on the light body. Tighten for more retention, loosen for a smoother draw. If you're switching between different pistols (for example, a Glock 17 one day and a CZ P-09 the next), you may need to adjust the slide contact screws to account for different slide widths.

Shock Cord

The Floodlight2 includes a shock cord on the slide side of the holster. The cord can be adjusted to accommodate different gun widths — hook the ends of the cord into the center loop to shorten it and increase retention.

Clip Height and Cant

The DCC Mod4 clips can be positioned at different heights on the holster slots to adjust ride height and cant angle. A higher clip position raises the gun relative to your beltline; a lower position sits the gun deeper. Cant angle affects how the grip tilts — adjust for your preferred carry position (AIWB or strong-side IWB).

ModWing Adjustment

The included ModWing presses against the inside of your belt or waistband to lever the grip into your body. Adjust the amount of grip rotation by swapping between the included short and tall inserts — the tall insert increases grip tuck for better concealment.

[/TAB] [TAB:FAQ]

What guns does the Floodlight2 fit?

The Floodlight2 fits most duty-sized and compact-duty-sized pistols, as long as the gun has a Surefire X300 or Streamlight TLR-1 attached. It indexes on the weapon light, not the gun itself. Confirmed compatible pistols include Glock 17/19/34, Sig P226/P229, Smith & Wesson M&P, HK VP9, CZ P-10/P-09, FN 509, Beretta 92, Springfield XD/XDM, 1911 and 2011 pattern guns, and more. See the Compatibility tab for the full list. Steyr pistols are NOT compatible.

Can I use my TLR-7, TLR-7A, or Olight with the Floodlight2?

No. The Floodlight2 only works with the Surefire X300U/X300T and the Streamlight TLR-1/TLR-1S/TLR-1 HL. No other weapon lights are supported. If you carry a smaller light like a TLR-7, you'll need a gun-specific holster from another brand.

Is the Streamlight TLR-1 HL-X compatible?

No. The TLR-1 HL-X and TLR-1 HPX have a different body shape than the standard TLR-1 HL. They do NOT fit the Floodlight2. Only the TLR-1, TLR-1S, and TLR-1 HL are supported.

What's the difference between the X300 version and the TLR-1 version?

You must select the version that matches the light on your gun. The X300 version fits Surefire X300U-A, X300U-B, and X300U-T. The TLR-1 version fits Streamlight TLR-1, TLR-1S, and TLR-1 HL. They are NOT interchangeable — a holster made for the X300 will not safely retain a TLR-1, and vice versa.

Can I use the Floodlight2 with the PHLster Enigma?

Yes. The Floodlight2 is directly compatible with the Light Bearing Enigma OS for beltless carry.

Is the Floodlight2 compatible with red dot optics?

Yes. The open-ended design accommodates slide-mounted red dots, suppressor-height sights, compensators, and threaded barrels without modification.

Can I carry strong-side IWB instead of appendix?

Yes. The Floodlight2 can be worn AIWB or strong-side IWB. Adjust the clip positioning and cant angle for your preferred carry position.

How is the Floodlight2 ambidextrous?

Swap the DCC clips and ModWing hardware to the opposite side of the holster for left-hand carry. No additional parts needed — everything you need for either hand dominance is included in the box.

I already own a Floodlight (original). Should I upgrade?

The Floodlight2 features ComfortScape technology for improved comfort and moisture management, DCC Mod4 clips standard (no upgrade needed), a slimmer overall profile, and more precise light fitment.

Do I need a specific belt width?

The included DCC Mod4 clips fit 1.5" belts. A sturdy gun belt is recommended for proper carry performance. The clips will not work well with thin dress belts or belts significantly wider than 1.5".

Can I switch between different guns with the same holster?

Yes — that's the core advantage of the Floodlight2. As long as both guns use the same weapon light (for example, both have a Surefire X300U), you can swap the light from one gun to another and reholster. You may need to adjust the slide contact screws when switching between guns with significantly different slide widths.

What should I do to improve comfort?

The ComfortScape ribs help significantly, but most people benefit from adding a Wedge Rx to the back of the holster. Wedges push the muzzle end away from your body and the grip closer in, improving both comfort and concealment. PHLster's website has detailed wedge placement guides and instructional videos.
