The Enigma Express is a ready-to-wear concealed carry system that works without relying on your pants or belt. It arrives pre-assembled with a holster, so you can start learning the fundamentals right away.
If you only read one thing
The Enigma Express comes completely assembled with our Skeleton or City Special holster installed. The Express is NOT compatible with any other holster besides our Skeleton or City Special holsters. See our Open Source Enigmas if you intend to use a different holster with your Enigma.
Ready to wear
Arrives pre-assembled with either a Skeleton pistol holster or City Special revolver holster. No sourcing parts or building from scratch.
Beltless carry
The system provides its own structure. Your pants belt is not required for stability—wear whatever you want.
Appendix position
Designed for appendix carry only (between 10–2:30)—on the front of your torso, forward of the hips.
Who is Enigma Express for?
• People who want a complete, ready-to-go solution
• Anyone who wants to carry without depending on their belt or waistband
• People who wear different clothing styles and need consistent concealment
• Those whose supported firearm is on the Express compatibility list
How the Enigma Express works
Most holsters clip to your pants, which means your waistband has to do the work. The Enigma flips that—the support structure is worn on your body, separate from your clothing.
What’s different
Your pants are no longer the foundation. The system is worn directly on your body.
What stays the same
A secure holster provides retention and trigger protection.
Why it matters
This innovative design allows the user to fine tune their comfort, concealment, access and even clothing style.
What this enables
Carry without a belt on your pants
Consistent placement across different clothing
Position the system where it conceals best on your body
Stability that stays put when you move, sit, or drive
Is it like a bellyband?
No. A bellyband is a fabric wrap that relies on compression and friction. The Enigma is a chassis system with a secure Kydex holster—you get firm retention, consistent placement, and a stable draw without relying on elastic or compression.
What's included with Enigma Express
The Enigma Express arrives as a complete, pre-assembled system. Here's what you're getting:

A thin, flexible faceplate that holds the holster close to your body. The textured surface helps maintain consistent access.

A soft low profile non-stretch 1.5" belt. Adjustable up to 46" waist (or up to 64" with the optional XL Sport Belt accessory).
Kydex Holster
A Skeleton holster (pistols) or City Special holster (revolvers) provides crisp retention and a consistent draw stroke.
Leg Leash
Helps keep the holster from riding up during the draw. Adjustable for thighs up to 36". Two leash options included.
Fidlock Magnetic Buckle
Quick on/off with one-hand operation. An optional Reduced Size Buckle is available.
eMod Inserts
Two angled interchangeable inserts that adjust grip rotation.

Is Enigma Express right for your firearm?
Enigma Express works with select pistols and revolvers that do not have weapon-mounted lights or lasers. Use the PHLster Guided Holster Choice to check your specific firearm.
You'll need the Enigma OS instead—it's the same system without a holster, so you can pair it with a compatible holster for your specific firearm. If you have a weapon light, you'll need the Light Bearing version. The PHLster Guided Holster Choice will guide you to the right option.
What to expect when it arrives
Enigma Express is pre-assembled and ready to wear—but “assembled” doesn't mean “fitted.” You'll still need to adjust the belt and leg leash to your body.
Expect a dial-in period
Small adjustments make a big difference. Plan to spend time over your first few wears finding what works for you, and consider joining us for an Enigma Tune Up.
Your first steps
Read the safety information — This is critical. Do this first.
Watch the Quick Start video — Shows how to put it on and make initial adjustments.
Adjust the leg leash — Shouldn't be tighter than a pair of briefs.
Test: stand, sit, walk — Record yourself performing normal movements to test your concealment.
Good concealment is a skill—not just a gear purchase. The Enigma gives you the tools, but understanding a few core principles will help you get there faster with less trial and error.
It starts between your ears
Don't rush to buy more gear. The principles of concealment are universal—they apply to every body type. Learn them first, and you'll solve problems faster.
Find your sweet spot
Your body has natural “peaks” and “valleys.” You will notice natural fabric drape where you have natural valleys. The goal is to place your gun in a valley, and keep it off of your peaks.
Grip rotation & tuck
The grip (handle) of your gun is usually what prints. Getting it to rotate toward your body and tuck in is key for achieving your concealment goals.
The Poke and Check
A simple diagnostic: poke the grip through your shirt. If it moves easily, you can achieve more rotation or tuck. If your gun is already in your sweet spot then consider adding a wedge or using the larger wing insert.
Quick clothing tip
Fabric that hangs smoothly conceals better than fabric that clings tightly. Patterns and texture also help break up any subtle outlines. Note that dri-fit like materials will enhance printing issues.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. That said, most comfort and concealment issues are solved with a little adjustment and guidance—reach out before giving up. We're here to help you succeed.
