The Light Bearing Enigma Express is a ready-to-wear concealed carry system for handguns with a weapon-mounted light. It works without relying on your pants or belt, arrives pre-assembled with a Floodlight2 holster, and lets you start learning the fundamentals right away.
If you only read one thing
The Light Bearing Enigma Express comes pre-assembled with a Floodlight2 holster. View the compatibility tab to ensure your light is compatible.
The included Floodlight2 holster indexes on your weapon light, giving you a stable, secure platform for duty-sized handguns.
Ready to wear
Arrives pre-assembled with a Floodlight2 light-bearing holster. No sourcing parts or building from scratch.
Beltless carry
The system provides its own structure. Your pants belt is not required for stability—wear whatever you want.
Built for weapon lights
Designed specifically for handguns with a supported Streamlight TLR-1 or SureFire X300U/T weapon-mounted light.
Who is Light Bearing Enigma Express for?
• People who carry with a weapon-mounted light and want a complete, ready-to-go solution
• Anyone who wants to carry a light-equipped handgun without depending on their belt or waistband
• People who wear different clothing styles and need consistent concealment of a duty-sized setup
• Those whose weapon light is on the supported list (TLR-1 family or X300U/T family)
How the Light Bearing Enigma Express works
Most holsters clip to your pants, which means your waistband has to do the work. The Enigma flips that—the support structure is worn on your body, separate from your clothing.
What’s different
Your pants are no longer the foundation. The system is worn directly on your body.
What stays the same
A secure holster provides retention and trigger protection.
Why it matters
This innovative design allows the user to fine tune their comfort, concealment, access and even clothing style.
The holster indexes on the light, not the gun
The included Floodlight2 holster uses your weapon-mounted light as the retention and indexing point. This means it works with most duty-sized firearms that fit a supported light—the holster doesn't need to be molded to your specific gun model.
What this enables
Carry a light-equipped handgun without a belt on your pants
Consistent placement across different clothing
Position the system where it conceals best on your body
Stability that stays put when you move, sit, or drive
Is it like a bellyband?
No. A bellyband is a fabric wrap that relies on compression and friction. The Enigma is a chassis system with a secure Kydex holster—you get firm retention, consistent placement, and a stable draw without relying on elastic or compression.
What's included with Light Bearing Enigma Express
The Light Bearing Enigma Express arrives as a complete, pre-assembled system. Here's what you're getting:
Faceplate / Chassis
A thin, flexible faceplate that holds the holster close to your body. The textured surface helps maintain consistent access.
System Belt
A soft low profile non-stretch 1.5" belt. Adjustable up to 46" waist (or up to 64" with the optional Sport Belt accessory).
ComfortScape Floodlight2 Holster
A light-bearing holster featuring ComfortScape Technology for reduced body-side pressure. Indexes on your weapon light (TLR-1 family or X300U/T family), working with most duty-sized firearms that fit a supported light.
Leg Leash
Helps keep the holster from riding up during the draw. Adjustable for thighs up to 36". Two routing options included.
Fidlock Magnetic Buckle
Quick on/off with one-hand operation. If the buckle creates a pressure point on your hip, an optional Reduced Size Buckle is available.
eMod Inserts
eMod Inserts are not included with the Light Bearing Enigma Express and are not used with this model. They are designed for the standard Enigma Express only.
The holster is not swappable
The Light Bearing Enigma Express is designed specifically to work with the included Floodlight2 holster. If you need to use a different manufacturer's light-bearing holster, choose Enigma OS – Light Bearing instead.

Is Light Bearing Enigma Express right for your setup?
Light Bearing Enigma Express works with specific weapon-mounted lights on duty-sized handguns. The weapon light is the key compatibility factor—the Floodlight2 holster indexes on the light, not the gun.
Supported weapon-mounted lights
The Light Bearing Enigma Express supports two light families. Always verify your exact light model on the product page before purchasing.
Streamlight TLR-1 Family
TLR-1, TLR-1S, TLR-1 HL
SureFire X300U/T Family
X300U-A, X300U-B, X300U-T
✗ Not supported
TLR-1 HL-X and TLR-1 HPX — body changes in the weapon light make them incompatible
Weapon lights not in the families listed above
Attached lasers (mounted in front of the trigger guard; grip lasers are fine)
✓ Also compatible with
Red dots / optics
Suppressor-height sights
Most duty-sized firearms that fit a supported light
✗ Not compatible
Handguns without a weapon-mounted light
Unsupported weapon light models
Attached lasers (non-grip)
Red dot optic? That doesn't mean you need light-bearing.
Optics and weapon lights are different things. If your pistol has a red dot but no weapon-mounted light, you likely want the standard Enigma Express instead. The light-bearing version is only needed when you have a weapon light installed.
Confirm your weapon light
Similar-looking light names are not always the same product. Small design changes can affect fit. Always verify your exact model before purchasing.
What if my weapon light isn't on the supported list?
Choose Enigma OS – Light Bearing instead. It's the same Enigma platform without a holster, so you can pair it with a compatible holster for your specific light using the Fit Guide. The PHLster Guided Holster Choice can also help guide you to the right option.
What to expect when it arrives
Light Bearing Enigma Express is pre-assembled and ready to wear—but “assembled” doesn’t mean “fitted.” You'll still need to adjust the belt and leg leash to your body.
Assembled ≠ Fitted
The Floodlight2 holster is mounted and ready. But belt tension and leg leash length need to be adjusted for your body—everyone is different.
Expect a dial-in period
Small adjustments make a big difference. Plan to spend 15–30 minutes over your first few wears finding what works for you.
Be aware: this is a large holster
The Floodlight2 is designed for duty-sized guns with weapon lights. If you're a smaller-statured person, concealing a large setup takes some extra technique. Watch the video below for tips on challenges and solutions.
Your first steps
Read the safety information — This is critical. Do this first.
Watch the Quick Start video — Shows how to put it on and make initial adjustments.
Adjust the belt — Set tension for stability (not maximum tightness).
Adjust the leg leash — Should prevent upward ride during draw without pulling uncomfortably.
Test: stand, sit, walk — Make one small change at a time if something feels off.
Important: Floodlight2 reholstering technique
The Floodlight2 holster requires a specific reholstering technique for best results. Be sure to review the Floodlight2 instructions in addition to the main Enigma Express instructions.
Good concealment is a skill—not just a gear purchase. The Enigma gives you the tools, but understanding a few core principles will help you get there faster with less trial and error. This is especially important with a larger light-bearing setup.
It starts between your ears
Don't rush to buy more gear. The principles of concealment are universal—they apply to every body type and every gun size. Learn them first, and you'll solve problems faster.
Find your sweet spot
Your body has natural "valleys" where the gun can tuck in rather than stick out. With a larger setup, finding this sweet spot matters even more.
Grip rotation & tuck
The grip (handle) of your gun is usually what prints. Getting it to rotate toward your body and tuck in is the key to invisible concealment.
The Poke and Check
A simple diagnostic: poke the grip through your shirt. If it moves easily, you need more rotation or tuck. This tells you exactly what to adjust.
Quick clothing tip
Drape beats cling. Fabric that hangs smoothly conceals better than fabric that clings tightly. With a light-bearing setup, a slightly heavier or more structured fabric can help cover the additional bulk of the weapon light. Patterns and texture also help break up any subtle outlines.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. That said, most comfort and concealment issues are solved with a little adjustment and guidance—reach out before giving up. We're here to help you succeed.
