What The Enigma Is

Learn the Enigma

What the Enigma is.

A rugged, fight-tested holster system that conceals your firearm without a traditional belt. Worn on the front of your torso in the appendix position, the Enigma provides stability and concealment independent of your clothing. From plus size to petite, it's built for comfort and concealment.

Dress around your life.

The Enigma is worn on your body, not clipped to your pants. Your pants become the cover layer, not the foundation.

If you only read one thing

The Enigma is worn on your body, not clipped to your pants. Your clothing goes over it. That single change is what makes beltless carry, consistent placement, and any wardrobe possible.

Sweet spot guide

How it works

Unlike a bellyband, the Enigma works with a secure Kydex holster: crisp retention and a fast draw. The faceplate provides stability, eliminates bulky clips, and gives the slimmest overall profile.

How the Enigma is different.

Most carry setups rely on your pants to do the work: the waistband and belt provide structure, and your holster clips to that structure. The Enigma flips that relationship.

With the Enigma, the support structure is worn on your body, separate from your pants, so stability and concealment don't depend on your clothing at all. Your clothing becomes the cover layer, not the foundation.

What this enables

  • Carry without needing a belt on your pants
  • Freedom to choose any style of clothing
  • More consistent placement across different clothing types
  • Adjust the system to where it conceals best for YOUR body type (between 10 and 2 o'clock)

"Beltless," a simple definition.

Beltless means the system provides its own structure without relying on your pants belt.

The Enigma is worn separate from your pants, so support and stability come from the system itself, not from your waistband. Gym shorts, scrubs, dresses, suits, leggings: if you can wear it, you can carry in it.

The Enigma is for appendix carry only.

It's designed to be positioned on the front of your torso, in the appendix carry position.

Clock placement

Think of your body like the center of a clock. Appendix carry includes any placement between 10 and 2 o'clock. The Enigma is not designed to be worn on or behind the hip.

Clock placement helps describe small shifts within the appendix zone.

Where exactly within that zone? That's your concealment sweet spot, and it's personal to your body. The sweet spot guide shows you how to find it.

Let's break it down.

The Enigma is a chassis + holster system. Models vary in proportions, but the concept stays the same: a chassis worn on your body, paired with a secure holster, with components designed for concealment, stability, and adjustability.

The heart of the system

Chassis / faceplate

Variable stiffness and anti-slip texture for the best performance. Holds the holster flat and stable against your body.

Structure

System belt

Anchors the system on your body. Your pants belt is not required for function.

Retention

Holster

A secure Kydex holster provides retention and supports consistent access.

Stability on the draw

Leg leash

Ensures your gun is always where it needs to be. No riding up on the draw or during dynamic movement.

Common misconceptions.

Three things people get wrong before their first Enigma.

Is the Enigma basically a bellyband?

No. A bellyband is usually made of a soft material that relies on compression and friction to hold a gun in place. The Enigma is a beltless chassis system designed to work with a secure Kydex holster, so you get firm retention, consistent placement, and a stable draw without relying on your pants belt for structure. Learn why soft holsters don't work well.

If it arrives assembled, am I done?

No. Even when it arrives assembled, you should still expect to adjust belt fit and leg leash fit for your body. Don't worry, we offer detailed resources for any troubleshooting, including our free Enigma Tune-Up classes.

Will one setup fit every gun?

No. But we've streamlined this process for you: the Guided Holster Choice matches your firearm to the right Enigma model.

The guided selector confirms your firearm and routes you to the right model.
